In designing each piece, Sarah draws inspiration from epic narratives, pop culture and art history.
Some of the larger harness-style pieces evoke theatrical elements making them suitable for film, stage or fashion.

All Silent Dove pieces feature hand-poured resin beads that preserve heirloom fabrics such as antique couture antique lace from the 1920s.
In many of her designs, creator Sarah has preserved sections of her grandmother's 1930s wedding dress and lace that was hand-made by her great aunt and sent to Australia from Ireland.

Every bead in Silent Dove pieces is hand-wired by designer Sarah with care over many hours of painstaking work.
Silent Dove pieces use only premium materials such as carnelian, amethyst, lapis lazuli, amazonite and freshwater pearls.
Pieces typically take up to a week to construct with some of the larger designs taking 50-60 hours to finalise.
